I've entered three users with different roles.
- User: admin
- Password: admin
- This is the administrator that is allowed to do everything.
But in the demo version some files and database tables are
write protected. If you try to change some settings in this
files or database tables, you will get an error message.
- User: demo
- Password: demo
- This is a normal user as you would define for most of your
employees. The user is allowed to enter time spent on projects
where he/she was planned to. All other projects are not
visible for this user. The user is also allowed to plan
projects, if he/she is defined as a project leader (chief?)
for a project.
- User: gast
- Password: gast
- This is a completely underpowerd user who is only allowd to
view some reports.
After you've installed theoplan successfully,
you must enter the directory setup in the directory where you've installed
theoplan. Edit the file settings.dat and
change the line
language=ger
into
language=eng
In case this line is missing, add it.
Now you need to load the multilingual messages into database. There is a file called
language.backup contained in the directory where you've installed
theoplan. Load it with the following command:
psql pm < language.backup
where
pm is the name of the database you've choosen.
Because my native language is german, I've written all messages first in german
and translated it afterwards into english. Beside, that my english is not the best,
I've not translated every message currently.
Another reason why is, that all data I've typed in, are in german, what is not the
fault of the program. But I hope, that sometime somebody will help me to translate
theoplan not only into english. Maybe you?
