5.1 WMS Server

The Web Map Service (WMS) is an interface to request parts of a map. Such an interface could also be called a WEB service.

The specification was designed by the Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC). It describes the parameters needed for a request. It also defines, how a WMS server should generate a map out of the request.

SportWatcher supports the access to any WMS server out of the box. Just choose WMS server as the source for maps and set everything necessary as described at 4.2.1 WMS.
